Career search

In association with

Content, not contentious

Let your CV be the most positive 1-2 pages you’ve ever written. Please no more! Apart from name, address and contacts (page one), most important inclusions are your qualifications, expertise and experience. Express yourself with confidence, without being OTT and keep it brief.  Emphasise professional and academic achievements and highlight special abilities such as languages and computer skills.

We suggest you present the contents in the following order: personal details (name, address, contacts); personal profile (short paragraph on your ambitions and aspirations); key skills, career history (list chronologically starting with most recent); education, additional skills and qualifications (languages and academics); achievements (awards) and interests.

Remember, avoid buzzwords and slang and never be negative about previous employers, it creates the wrong impression.
